Dogwood Chapel

Posted on October 17, 2006 by Jack Hammer

I thought this might be an appropriate time to introduce this. Here’s a perfect picture of the perfect church in a perfect dogwood grove.

The Perfect Church!

There’s probably a perfect pastor there preaching perfect messages to perfect parishoners who have perfect dogs in there perfect kennels back at there perfect homes.

Then there is, of course, one of Kinkade’s favorite cities:

Kent's Hometown

And this picture that just might be a scene from the Maine coast:

Bobby's Land

The scene right after the bottom Maine painting is Bobby coming out of the glowing front door in his L.L. Bean slippers, ascot and plaid flannel bathrobe, holding his pet chihuahua, bending over to pick up his Bangor Daily News, all with a Mona Lisa-like smile on his face.

Magnificent! That church is definitely a LIGHThouse. And not a doodle in sight. Somehow, the light manages to ooze off the campus, even in the rain. We have to admire Kinkaid’s skill with yellow paint. And the clouds. Even the clouds ooze with light. Could someone pass me a kleenex from my Thomas Kinkaid Kleenex box?

I’m feeling the love on this post. Might be the most edifying so far. Count on Brandenburg to know where they keep all the Kinkaids. Maybe we should replace the masthead with a Kinkaid. Doesn’t Kinkaid fit well with JackHammers?

That was, um, Sledge Voegtlin that posted the Kinckade paintings. I think it is his screen saver, the required screensaver for the Fairhaven pastoral staff. Since this administrative decision, members and students report a gigantic drop in tension accompanied by surreal smiles and hypnotic stares. It all gives new meaning to pastoral.

Hey, aren’t they pretty. And yes, they have seemed to shed some light on being more pastureal. Ha!

I’m starting to feel “light”headed from all this light conversation…

I’m still in favor of a Kinkyade masthead. JackHammers, Kinkyade. Kinkyade, JackHammers.

Jerry, Kinkyade likes being taken lightly. Are you saying jackhammering a Kinkyade structure, demolishing a quaint cottage, something like that, MalletFactor?

That would be entertaining - perhaps even en”light”ening! ;)
